When fashion designer Kristine Deer was laid off during the recession, she found peace and refuge in her yoga practise. She would hit the studio up to six days a week but struggled to find the right clothes to keep up with her practise. So she started making her own styles that gained rave reviews from her teachers and fellow students and the project eventually evolved into a full-fledged althleisurewear line – K-DEER.
Fabrics and designs
Using American-made fabrics, K-DEER’s yoga shorts, leggings and tops are luxuriously soft and stretchy so they’ll feel just like a second skin. They’re moisture-wicking and dry fast to keep you comfortable during your routine. One of K-DEER’s first and most iconic styles is the Bum Bum – a super minimal and fuss-free short that’s designed especially for the sweatiest hot yoga sessions. It looks like a swim bottom but with full coverage, thanks to wide but comfortable crotch seams.
K-DEER styles are meant to fit snug, so size up if you’re in between sizes. Our may also help you to determine the best size option.
How we wear our K-Deer favourites
We don’t know how we got through our sweatiest hot yoga classes without our K-DEER Bum Bums and moisture-wicking gear. They’re also great for beach yoga sessions or stand-up paddle-boarding. We also love how K-DEER’s patterned leggings add fun stripes and prints to our casual getups.
Why buy K-Deer?
Kristine’s brilliant designs solve a lot of the issues we have with other workout gear, like muffin tops and the dreaded camel toe. We love how each striped design is named for an inspiring woman, like powerful journalists and family and close friends of Kristine. Couple that with K-DEER’s American-made, eco-friendly guidelines and we’re sold!
