Yoga enthusiasts Joe and Christina Patterson noticed that some students in their class wanted to keep their socks on for warmth and hygiene. But regular socked feet are a safety concern since they slip easily on a yoga mat. The Pattersons were inspired and went to work in the small garage of their Los Angeles home to create ToeSox. Not just for yoga, ToeSox has garnered a dedicated following of fans that also practise pilates, barre and dance.
Fabrics and designs
ToeSox are crafted in a soft cotton stretch yarn. Their soles feature a patented non-slip runner-dotted grip, offering you a secure footing on yoga mats or hardwood flooring while helping to keep chilly feet warm. ToeSox’s individual toe design allows you to spread your toes, creating a broader, more grounded foundation that’s perfect for sinking deeper into a lunge, stretch or warrior pose. And the heels are fitted to keep the socks in place, preventing bunching and twisting as you move.
ToeSox are unisex. If you’re smaller than a women’s size 8 or men’s size 7, go with a Small. Otherwise, women with feet larger than 8.5 and men larger than size 7.5 should order ToeSox in a Medium. Our Size Guide may also help you to determine the best size option.
How we wear our ToeSox favourites
We love how the half toe design gives us warmth with a barefoot experience, exposing the tips of our toes to the ground. The ballet-inspired Bella sock has top cutouts that are perfect for a barely-there feeling. We wear our Bella socks for better circulation in hot yoga classes.
Why buy ToeSox?
If you’re like us, once you try ToeSox you won’t be able to go back to practising yoga without them! The soles grip so well that we can stretch and bend even further than we could in bare feet. ToeSox is also committed to giving back to the community, supporting great causes like breast cancer awareness, healthcare for the homeless and donating clothing to those in need.
